Internships - Clinical

We are currently offering a limited number of unpaid Clinical Internships at Crossnore School & Children's Home at our Avery Campus in Crossnore, NC, or at our Winston Campus in Winston-Salem, NC.
Crossnore can host Clinical Interns pursuing degrees in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, Psychology, and related fields.
Priority is given to master's level students pursuing degrees in Counseling, Social Work, and Marriage and Family Counseling. Bachelor's level students may also be considered based on availability.
Intern applicants are typically reviewed in February (Summer/Fall), April (Fall), and September (Spring).
Internships are typically limited to normal business hours 8:00 AM-6:00 PM, Monday-Friday and are typically limited to not more than 30 placement hours per week.
Clinical interns may obtain experience in a variety of settings including: Outpatient Clinic, Case Management, Foster Care and Adoptions, and Group Foster Care.
Typical intern learning opportunities vary based on degree. Interns may gain experience providing or observing individual, family, and group counseling, complete assessments and intakes, develop individual service plans, document services, complete and score standardized assessments (such as the SDQ), make referrals, and case consultation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
